Take the Pali Highway towards Kaneohe

Take the Nu’uanu Pali Drive exit

Follow this road until you see the Board of Water Supply building on the left

This is dilapidated summer palace of 

king Kamehameha III and his queen Kalama

 

Park the car on the side of the street

There is bamboo pathway across from the Water Supply building

 

Take the first left turn and walk another 300′

The ruins will be at the end of this short trail

Bring: Water, not much stuff needed to have with you
Time: About 2 hours (Round trip)

 

Trail head of the hike,, it's residential area. There is no parking area. Parked on the street. 
 









Starting slow hill. The first half part is easy hill.













I can see Hanauma Bay on left side of trail.








 






On right side, I oversee Koko Marina area.

 Smiling face stone!!

 Looks like in the aquarium! like seaweed...

Great view oversees kailua/lanikai side.

I see 2 islands off lanikai beach. Mauks...

This trail is good for beginners, I think. It was Monday morning, but I passed by many hikers. It seems popular trail. Only towards the end, there are a bit of steep hill. but not like I climbed rock or anything,,,

After the hike, we stopped by Paina Cafe, at Koko Marina shopping center. Yum! :D
